Haven't updated my reel since 2013. I've also been wanting to do something in the 16-bit pixel aesthetic. And thus, Super Reel Intro: Ultra Hyper Turbo edition, was born.
Basically, frame-by-framed it all in Photoshop at a tiny res that I googled was legit for pixel art. Comped it all in AE. Also made the track in Ableton! #checkoutmysoundcloud
Craziest part for me was, I thought I'd be able to squeeze in all these moments in 4 seconds flat without anything feeling rushed. I'm slapping my knee at that one.
Also, if you're a dope game, you gotta have a floating island. Blimp stages are passable to an extent.
